Fervor

I recieved a phone call inviting us out to meet with some friends at the park this morning. My first thought was "Crap! I don't have splash pants or rain boots yet!" but I soon realized that it is the first day where the sun was shining brightly and the temperature was in double digits so we would go anyway. I didn't think it would last. No matter how delightful it looked the sand was sure to be damp and we would most likely only be there for half and hour or less.

We got there and the other kids were kind enough to dry the slides with their bottoms before we arrived. The only complaint was the cold metal that made up the chain ladder.

We hadn't been to the park since the fall so K had clearly grown. She attempted to climb an arch ladder that she could never manage to get to the top of last year because she was too small. My first instinct was to tell her to try a different way on to the structure but then thought better of it. She had to stretch to reach the top but she made it. The challenge is what the structures are all about right?

In other spring time notes- my tulips and crocuses are being nibbled to the ground by cats. I love the burst of colour they offer and looked forward to seeing them bloom- DARN OUTDOOR CATS!
