The Darnest Things

I'd love to be able to look and see at what point kids begin to develop a sense of humor. Both K and I were in stitches on Sunday while C was in the shower. We watched the opening theme song for Peep and the Big Wide World over and over about eight times and K seemed to think it was the most hilarious thing she had ever seen. She laughed and let out high pitched oop's, her facial expresions were a riot so while we watched and watched again by the thrid time K was laughing at the screen and it just became contagious as I enjoyed watching her enjoyment.

Also, when told something completely ridiculous her response has become, "Silly Goose" which is completely adorable but after and insiprational trip to the zoo yesterday, silly hippo, silly tiger, silly polar bear, silly fish, silly zebra, silly giraffe, silly snake, silly ant and silly lion have all been used.

And speaking of the zoo, yesterday could not have been a more perfect day for an excursion. It wasn't too busy at all, most of the animals were not only close by but also very active including those lazy lions, the bathing tiger, and a white rhino that got so close it scared K. We picniced by the giraffes, caught a nice view of the new baby zebra, and E even got to participate in the Zoolymics in a basketball shoot out against and Ibis. E won a slim 3 to 2.

And since the summer is winding down quickly, we have already made our trip to Staples and bought all the necessary school supplies, tomorrow we are heading the the Toronto Busker Festival and we have a free trip to the CNE planned for early next week thanks to a continuing string of good luck and a CHUM FM Web contest.
