"Kish, Budder"

Sad thing when your husband is on a plane and you can't share the little things that melt your heart as they happen. K's vocabulary seems to be increasing exponentially each and every day. We are constantly floored by the new words that are coming out of her mouth. She has started putting sentences together, loves singing songs and doing any actions with a song. I find it so facinating how language is learned. Most of the words she has used up to now are nouns and verbs but she is now including other parts of speech. She has gotten very expressive and compassionate of other people and, oddly enough, things too. If she bumps into something not only do you have to ask if she is okay she also need the thing that she bumped into to be acknowledged and you also need to ask her if it is okay.

Not to long ago she tripped over one of her toys in the play room. Not usually a big deal, she pulled herself up on the couch, sat beside me, stretched out her leg in front of me and said, " kish, budder?". My heart melted. She commonly asks for snacks and naps, the physical need stuff, but I think is the first time she has ever asked for something to fulfill an emotional need like being kissed better.

Comments:
Aww! Now MY heart melted, too!
